my combo 1977 dodge 2 wheel drive truck. stock 440 smogger 323 gears.would it be better to advance this cam for more low end or straight up.

call m/p, check your cam card. maybe the adv is built in?

I would install it 5 to 6 advance or 102 or 103 intake lobe centerline.

my advice would be to NOT use that cam at all. The stock cam will work better w/ your combo. It won't matter how much you advance it.

A higher stall converter is also required with that cam.

and a good intake and headers and at least 3.91's if you have it, sell it and call summit. Their small cam will work good for what you have

Adv it 4 if it's already in and if it is not already in then what Mr Yuck said, get one more suited to your app
