I adjusted the screw 1/8 of a turn yesterday to see if it would take some excess play out of the steering wheel and it worked out great. 
Now there is just a very small amount compared to before. I do have a smaller than stock Grant steering wheel on it also so I think that makes it feel like more than normal.
