Is a 1996 518 trany a good candidate for a retrofit?

Can't remember the cutoff date for the non computer transmissions.

95 was the last year of the RH's, '96-up were RE's

95 and prior is the ticket.

Not going with another 700r4?

I just picked up a nice 70 D100 pickup and it looks like there is plenty of room for a 518 in there. It's a much easier project than the 700R4 job.

Figure out if you want the lock up converter too.
