Need some thoughts.69 superbee air grabber set up,505 stroker motor,hughes hyd.roller cam 252/258,576 lift,eddie rpm heads light port work,holley 850 quick fuel carb.street car 95% of the time.I really want to run a eddie rpm but I want to keep the stock look and the air set up and I dont think I can do this with the rpm intake.What do you guys think can it happen?As another plan,maybe the holley street dominator low rise intake single plane,do you think it will work well with my set up or not?The holley shows better #s than the ch4b eddie and the wieand action plus.I just need some ideas,I really like the eddie rpm but the holley has good flow #s and its lower rise.I just dont want to cork the motor off to bad with the intake.

CH4B is a good intake for stock heads, but with aftermarket heads it's going to become the bottleneck. I think you can buy a drop base for your air grabber from:

Yeah,I posted something a while back on this subject,I was just looking for more info,maybe someone has done this set up before or knows more about these intakes than what I have been reading about them.I am a newbie to mopar.My brother and I decided after our dad passed away that we would sell our chevies and fix up the mopars in the barn of my dads(69 superbee and 69 cornet r/t 4sp dana car)so here we are trying to figure it out,its a whole new world of mopar for us,but its way fun.Thanks for the reply

You're probably going to end up with a holley street dominator with an aftermarket drop-base for your air grabber. I don't think you can get it to work with a RPM just from a height standpoint.

I use the Holley Street Dominator on the 440 in my 63 and I am very pleased with it. You can see it's not that high and I have a 1" spacer on it. My son runs the RPM on the 400 in his Dart and it works very good also on street/strip cars. He runs Eddy heads to my 906's and he is about 150 lbs lighter then my 63. But it's kinda funny as my 63 has better 60 ft's then his Dart with my best of 1.57 to his 1.60. But he has pulled a tad more mph then me. You would think it would be the other way. But I do run more gear them and he runs a shorter tire then me. I would not hesitate to use the SD on your setup. Ron

Thanks ron that is good news for me I just wanted to hear someone's opinion on an intake that will work for me because I am new to the mopar world.I think I will pick one up and gasket match it at least,Thanks again for the info.

I run the Performer RPM with a fiberglass base from the website mentioned above on my 69 Bee. It fits under the Ramcharger Hood, but just bareley. This is on a 440.

Thanks mad scientist now you got me thinking rpm again.Is the bareley fit under hood with a holley carb or with a carter carb?Because I think the holley's are a bit taller.I am a holley fan so I dont have any carters in my shop to compare the two.Thanks again guys(this forum is the best ever),lots of info.

The Holley is a good intake and would work good for you. It's also shorter then most other HP intakes. Remember you can also mill some off the carb mounting pad to gain more clearance. I had to do this to my M1 to get my airfilter to fit under my hood.

I run a Holley carb. I had to cut and sand the fiberglass base down almost to the limit to make it fit, but it clears without issue. It looks stock under the hood, and that was my intention. The lid is pretty close to the choke, so for maximum performance you might want to think about a K&N filter lid.
