99 ram wont idle when first started

I have a 99 ram 2500 360 auto this morning battery was all but dead it turned over once or twice then nothing. put it on the charger then started it but unless you hold your foot on the gas and keep it idling it stalls. when driving it is ok but shut it off for a little while and same thing ,idles ok when driving at red lights. just when first started cold or after setting a couple of minutes it will stall. any ideas or questions thanks ed

You need to replace the battery!! The controller ECM goes crazy with a poorly charged/shorted battery.

sounds like it!!!!!!!!!!! stuck closed when cold!!!!
