Police wheels (6-slot) question. - 07/22/08 11:31 PM

What years and models could 6-slot Police wheels be ordered on?

Were there ever any offered on intermediate coupes for law enforcement orders?

I believe they were used from '75-'89 on any police car Mopar offered. Easiest thing to get them from these days is a Diplomat, but they were also on Monacos,St. Regis, Coronets etc..

The 15 X 7 slotted police wheel was used from 1978-1989 on all police package Mopars. The drilled police center caps were used from 1975-1989 on all police package cars...but the slotted wheel was not used until 1978. There were also some 15 X 6 slotted police wheels used on early (1978-1980?) F-body police cars.

Yes, B-bodies were available as a 2-door police package in 1977 and possibly 1978 (although I have never seen a 1978 version in real life). All the 1977 2-door cars I have seen were Monacos, but I am sure a Fury exists, or existed, somewhere. The Nebraska State Patrol had the 2-door Monaco as a patrol car in 1977 and they were 400 4-bbl cars.
