4.7 rod and main bolt replacement?

Assembling a 99 4.7 10 of the main bolts are stretch but the book does not say to replace them, the rods are stretch bolts also and the book says to replace. Has anybody reused these or should they be replaced and if the rods why not he mains? thanks

My 03 factory manual says the same. Reuse the bedplate bolts, replace the rod bolts. Reason?
