challenger t/a tag/sheet questions - 10/25/09 01:38 AM

im wrapping up the resto on my t/a and now getting a better look at the paperwork and file that came with it. i found 2 small tags, that go under the fender tags, 1 cant see exactly what was stamped, the other has a 15 stamped in it, does anyone know what that means? also, anyone know where i can get the build sheet decoded (beside govier)? theres a spot on the sheet, line 7, that says "police engine" and theres a #8 in box marked from the factory. just wondering what that means? thanx to moparts and all its members for all your help throughout this resto, everyones been really great!

The little tags or metal strips are some sort of QC tags that are not found on every car. I am not sure what the numbers stand for or if anyone has decoding info on them
People here on Moparts can decode your broadcast sheet and fender tag. Post pictures and folks here will have at it!

It sounds like the small tags you have are inspection tags, but one is normal, got a photo? If so, yours was inspected by inspector 15.

F08 on your broadcast sheet is the T/A engine.

I cropped it as close as possible & cut it in two to keep as much detail as possible after resizing.

On the carbs, it depends on what you want out of the car. If you are going to sell it or show it, the original date coded ones should go back on.

If you are going to keep it & drive it, use whichever ones you like, but keep the originals.

You should consider bringing it to Carlisle next July for the 40 Year Anniversary of the AAR & T/A.

Re: challenger t/a tag/sheet questions - 10/27/09 02:09 AM

On the site? Not many. Not everyone sends in photos for the site.

In the actual registry database, I count options like that as they come in. Register if you want & I can tell you how many I know of on that date. If yours is one I have not heard of before, the current count will go up one.

Registration forms can be printed out at the link below;

Re: challenger t/a tag/sheet questions - 10/27/09 03:20 AM

also, ive been wondering if the ta had a grill emblem from the factory? i see some car s have them but some dont.

Re: challenger t/a tag/sheet questions - 10/27/09 03:23 AM

The solenoid? If so, someone sells reproductions but I do not recall who.

T/As had the Challenger emblem in the grille from the factory.

No response to your request for a broadcast sheet decode yet.....

I do not recall ever seeing anyone decode a whole sheet for anyone on here. It takes a lot of time, same reason I do not do it. Call some evening & I can talk you through it so you can do it yourself if you want.
