Hello all is there a bushing that goes on the shaft were it comes out of the larger tube see photo and if there is one were can i pickup one thks ed

Depends on the car and year. Some early years had bearings. My 73 Challenger had a plastic housing that held a foam ring that looked like pipe insulation as a dust seal. I do believe that is what your missing.

Year One and others may have it. The ones I've seen advertised were grossly overpriced. A donor may be cheaper.
