07 300C ???

Can anyone tell me how to remove the shifter knob on the 300 Hemi C? I want to change it to a Mopar T handle. The original doesn't have the set screw but the T handle does.

from a former co-worker (I used to work for the company that designed and builds the shifters)

"Early versions were just threaded on. 2007-up, you need to slide the chrome shroud on the bottom of the knob down to allow the snap fingers in the knob core to flex. With the shroud slid down, the knob pulls right off."
