I have a 97 Dodge van with a 3.9 V6, i'd like to hookup an after market tach, where do you hook up wires ? I don't want screw anything up.

Use your 12v test light to poke around the fuse box for a switched 12v power supply and a backlighting power supply. Then run the tach signal wire to the coil negitive terminal and the last wire from the tach should be a ground.
