loose control arm bushing fix? - 08/11/09 02:32 AM

Anyone have a quick fix for loose upper control arm
bushings? Mine are not as tight as I'd like them to
be. Would adding the oem sleeve on the back be good
enough?

If the bushings are turning in the arm the arm is junk IMHO.

The only fix for an arm like that is to tack weld the bushing into the arm but I would replace it.

Tack welding a bushing melts the rubber and it will fail prematurely and your back to square 1.

Replacing the arm is best, but it's pretty easy to remove the rubber bushing, tack weld the metal housing and reinstall the bushing.
