gear lube - 08/06/09 11:23 PM

I need to replace the lube in my 2003 ram 1500 4x4. It's at 76k mile and starting to have a shudder at slow speed takeoff. It was serviced once at the dealer at about 30k miles. Its a 3.55 suregrip rear. Any suggestions?

Straight ahead or cornering? can't imagine gear lube having anything to do with it unless cornering. Manual or automatic? Clutch and/or engine/transmission mounts I'd check also.

Ive seen them shudder from old lube.Had one at the shop that I swore had a bad rear.Changed the lube and added the lube it was an older model.Cured it right now.My kid just bites the bulley and gets the Mopar lube that it takes. For a few quarts its cheaper than buying a rearend.Rocky

yes straight shudder like in a level parking lot, when it just barely moves I feel a shudder but it won't if under load seems like. Iwonder If we know who makes the stuff dodge sells?
