Dart and Duster Door Interchange

Dart and Duster Door Interchange - 07/16/09 05:59 PM

I've never had a 70-72 Dart door with a vent window and a 70-72 Duster door together to see what the differences are. Can the Dart door be used on the Duster with out modification?

I have been told that the doors will interchange, and that you can remove the window tracks/vent from the Dart door and install the Duster track/glass. I can neither confirm nor deny this though.

One minor difference - the Duster doors are drilled on the inside upper panel for the emblem plate, whereas the Dart doors aren't...whether all the bolt holes to mount the window regulator mechanism are the same may be another issue too...I'd guess there are extras to accommodate both style of door so the factory only had to make one style...

Thanks Guys. It looks like it's uncharted waters.

You may have to redrill a few holes for the different style regulators but anything is possible, I have a door for a 72 Duster on a 68 Dart 2dr sedan.
