What are signs of a bad or faulty Ignition Control Unit ?

I currently have the orange one in my '70 RR



and what are signs of a bad Voltage Regulator ?

(1) misses erratically usually when hot (2) either full fields it(max charge) or no charging at all. EDIT check that they both are grounded good.

So for a street car, is there any reason to upgrade to the chrome box ?

also, I've heard from one person that a bad one could possibly give me the same kinda signs that vapor lock does ...

anyone else heard of that ?

mine would miss at higher rpm,went to chrome no problems since.street driven

If you are replacing a bad ECU the MP chrome box is an excellent choice, definitely I would suggest not another orange one.
