Need to change drivers side remote mirror

I need to change my drivers side remote mirror on a 70 Charger. What does it consist of? Taking the upper pad off? And then what? Thanks

screw on the outside , nut on the underside then the remote joy stick , make sure the window is rolled up.

Someone makes/made a special tool to unscrew the nut on the joystick so you don't damage it.

Gonna need to remove the door panel in order to access the mirror - if I recall correctly, there is a stud with a nut you need to remove, also for being able to put the cable/joystick into the hole and getting the nut on - don't think you need to remove the upper pad. . . .
