Distributor nylon shaft end bushings

Hello I'm trying to find one of these Nylon shaft end bushings. I can find the bronze ones that are inside the distributor, but not these Nylon ones shown in the photo. Where can i get them? Thanx.

Yeah they apparently have gotten hard to find lately.
Used to be easy. I think Mopar even discontinued them
.I ended up getting some metal ones from a guy called Halifax hops on all the F_BO sites.

You can buy them dirt cheap at Lowes.

The ones at Lowes were 99 cents for two as I recall!

I've tried to buy from them before and once you get down to actually placing an order it seems like they really don't exist

Notice the shaft is not drilled for the pin location, I don't know if that collar is drilled as I have taken collars off and they only go back one way , drilled offset?

Laters Mopar pieces sold in plastic bags aren’t drilled either.

I just drill out a 1/2" nut to 1/2", and drill a 1/8" hole for the pin. The small hole is offset, so be careful with the measurements.

BRE sells a nice aluminum one.

I just used 2 of the metal ones I got from the guy on FABO that I mentioned on the previous page. I'm thinking the next time I needed something from McMaster Carr to look and see what they have, I have 2 more here but they'll last me a couple of years at least before I put them to use. I looked at lower, Menards by me thinking either of them should have something in their hardware aisle but didn't see anything. I was surprised.
I'm sure a 1/2" id spacer would be good for lotsa other purposes than just as a distributor shaft stop.

I have a couple distributor machines and have spent much time rebuilding mopar dizzys. In my opinion the Hillman brand bushings should only be used in an emergency. They do not fit snugly on the undersized shaft diameter of the dizzy. The problem with the NOS ones are that the plastic is old. How long will it last? New under size ID plastic bushing material is sold at Mcmaster Carr. https://www.mcmaster.com/products/plastics/plastic~/shape~round-tube/id~1-2-2/ They offer many different types of material some material has under size ID sizes. If your handy you can make your own bushing.

Remember shaft end play. nm9stheham at For A-Bodys only said it best. "Be careful how you check the end play of the shaft; you can't check this from the top by pulling on the rotor or top shaft, because you are pulling on the mechanical advance plate and upper shaft, not on the main shaft. This needs to be checked from the bottom, with the distributor removed from the engine. With all new bushings and such, the main shaft will have an end play of the main shaft on the lower end of the distributor in the .007-.010" range". Less is better.

I use the aluminum collars. I bought a bag of them 20 years ago when they were cheap.

I have had the Hillman bushings on multiple cars and never an issue!

The one on my car has been there for 10 years, 9,000 miles and hundreds of dragstrip passes. I'm not sure anyone does destructive testing better than me.

Hillman collar 880447 does fit a little looser than I like.
I did find a Bronze bushing #882993 that fits quite well.
I also bought a couple other Nylon bushings with smaller ID that I will drill out. I'll turn down the O.D. to closely match the original part.
I have a BB Mopar Performance distributor on the shelf that uses a steel collar with a set screw.. I have a couple of Aluminum collars on order too with single and double set screws.
Trying different things to see what I like best.

be careful drilling those bushings. they like to "catch" the drill, then break.
if the id is within .015 or so, a reamer would be the proper way to size the hole.
