70-71 Duster hoods ???

My interchange books shows the 70 & 71 Duster hoods are different, what is the difference? The book doesn't state what's different. Thanx.

I'm not sure but I would guess the 71 hood has some relief on the inner structure to create crumple zones

Not till 72, hinge and attachment is different. 71 didn’t change much from 70 except emblems, decals and 340 options.

Are the hinges different as well?

Yes, they won’t interchange. Factory changed the adjustment points. 72 hood will fit a 70-71 but you need the hinges too.
