I went w/ Champion J12's. Wanted Autolite 84's but nobody seemed to have them. I'm using a MP orange box and Distrib. I set my gap at .040 oh and MSD 8mm wires.

depends on your heads--stock or aluminum (which use long reach) -- Lots of threads about plugs--most like NGK since Autolite went China on us
Running headers or manifolds? A few more details and these guys will dial you in.
Gap usually depends on your ignition type--too big is not good. Remember--the old Lawnmower shop can close a gap up and make any engine crank and run.

My RR 440 6pack seemed to do well with Autolite 85's, just under .040 I think Autozone was the only place I could find them. 8mm accel wires, chrome box, factory electronic ignition...

440Stealth heads with NGK FR5's. FBO ignitions' box and coil. Plugs gapped at .035. So far the best plugs I've had in my motor.

Swingin 72, what headers are you running?

I ran the RJ12YC Champs in the 440 in my GTX, it was EXTREMELY rich and they worked just fine.

GTX they are pretty good. now they are only 1 3/4 but you can use ALL of your ex mani studs. get the driver side up high and come in form under the car.
