What is this cable for?

What is this cable for? - 07/12/23 05:56 AM

Does anyone know what this cable is for? It’s has part number 2490182 ink stamped on the package. There is also part number 2525854 had written on the package, possibly a superceded number?

The cable is made of stainless steel. The cable measures 38" long from end to end. The one connector is a solid eyelet with a 3/8" hole, the other is a spring connector with a 3/8" hole.

Thanks for any help.

This makes more sense, when I looked up the part number on another site, the post claimed it was a transmission cable.
