How many of you guys are using a wide band
air fuel ratio gauge, and do you run it all
the time or pull it after your dialed in?

Ok cool, looks like no one really uses them so
I won't worry about a group buy discount.

I have an LM-1 I used; learned a lot about tuning from it, but the car still does not run any better...

I still have a lot to learn...

I borrowed a friend's LM1 to dial in my motor, but I don't run it continuously, since it's not mine

I run a FAST efi system, its built in, and its just like anything else, if you don't know how to read it and interprete your engine's response to changes, your not gaining anything with it.

I run one and have recently tuned my carbs by seeing what the jet changes did to the A/F ratio at cruise and wot. They work well and in my opinion worth every penny if you are going to tune your carb or carbs for best performance and mileage.

I run an LM-1 all the time. I am always learning something new. I don't watch it all the time, but I check it regularly especially if anything out of the ordinary happens. I also log ever-so-often just to get a close look at what is going on.

Maybe if you ask if anyone was interested in a group buy on a/f guage and O2 sensor you may get a better response, I kind of doubt there is enough interest though. People here are basically tight wads and this is too high tech for the majority of them.

bet you get a better reponse out of the race section

Re: How many guys using a wide band A\F ratio gauge? - 04/22/09 01:28 AM

how much would it cost after a group discount? i plan on putting one in instead of shoving an o2 sensor up my tailpipe just for tuning purposes.

I run a FAST A/F meter all the time. You can record and also show both sensors' readout or single mode will average the two.

Not quite sure what is being offered? Is this a brand that has been "tried and true", or trying to tap into the market? Does it offer logging? This a permanent or temporary/portable system?

I was going to see what I could get AutoMeter to
do for a discount for the site for their gauges.

I was thinking about picking up a WB AF gauge for
my car and was curious what others might think and
be interested in.

Just curious.

$379 for an LM-1 with RPM converter. I am liking that price. Yes I do believe they were over $500 the last I looked just a few months back.

An Innovate LC-1 with a gauge (like a G2) works very well for permanent mounting.

I've got an Innovate LC-1 with a permanently mounted analog wideband gauge.

So say 200 bucks or so for an autometer cobalt
unit would be a killer deal?

My prayers have been answered!

Did you get the RPM logging issue figured out/resolved?

Happy to help you out and say thanks to your wife for fixing it up for me.

Re: How many guys using a wide band A\F ratio gauge? - 04/23/09 02:41 AM

I never did get the rpm thing figured out. It may be your system or it may be my electronics module (my Mallory Hyfire IV might be messing with it). once I get the other setup (should be soon). I'll call innovate and ask if my Hyfire box is screwing with it. if they say NO, i'll swap everything out and see if the new stuff works. if it does, your stuff is not working and I'll try and troubleshoot it to find which part isnt working.

right now, I can log up to about 3000 rpm and then it flat lines line its clipping an input amp.

maybe this is why you got such a great deal on it????

Re: How many guys using a wide band A\F ratio gauge? - 04/23/09 03:00 AM

I do know some gauges have problems if you run the
gauge wires to close to the ignition or even secondary ignition wires. Just a thought.
