26 Inch Rad Upper Hose - 02/09/23 12:58 PM

What is the difference between the 440 hose and the Hemi hose for the upper rad hoses in a 69 B body with a 26 inch radiator? Part number and price obviously but other than that, would they not be the same?

I think there are two upper radiator hoses for the 440 also ???? One for an A/C 440 and of course non-A/C. The A/C hose has a little rise to it for alternator to A/C belts pulley or am I mistaken?

I know this is a 383 but I had this issue when I first ordered a replacement upper hose for it, that's when I found out there was a different upper hose for A/C cars. They have the rise for the A/C belts for maximum slack or belt wear. The non-A/C hose will work with A/C but it's close with loose belts, and not correct for the anal purists grin wink

BTW the HEMI has the timing and idle rpm label on the wrong side for a 1968 model year and the judges never docked him or anyone else for that. So why was it moved to the driver's side on the '69 B-body Plymouths? (I know and that's why my '68 RR in the photo has it on the right passenger's side.)
