canadian or american?
canadian would still be a poly motor thus a 727.
amerian would be the normal 318 and have a 904 at that time.
not always true I am sure, but generally speaking that is how it would have been.

I'll comment on the American side, it would depend on what application it came from IE: A, B, van or Truck.
Their wasn't a 318 offered in the A bodies in 67. The commando 273's could have had either, but generally had the 904 UNLESS it was really optioned out IE: 67 Formula S, 273 commando, disc brakes, 8-3/4 etc or possibly a tow package. On the tow package shruggy
The B bodies could've had either.
Vans and trucks all 727

I think it's the bracket that's the easiest way to tell 904 from 727 apart and the tubes are bent very similarly but I don't know what they both look like now.
You can use a 904 tube with a 727 but the bracket won't line up.
Vans have super long tubes. I'm using one that I cut down to the proper car length.

Even with the 727, SB and BB have different brackets. For any given year there are about 10 different filler tubes...hard to ID by sight.

What year did they stop bolting the tube to the trans , that will get it into an era ?

I believe '68 was the last year for the bolt tab.
