So my master cylinder has a big heavy plate behind it, can I get rid of it?....What's behind it?

I attached the under dash pedal box to the roll cage dash bar. That allowed me to remove the plate without excessive flex.

This is what I have on my computer, don't know if it's what you're looking for though.

If you don’t mind the brakes flexing in and out remove the ‘big heavy plate’. Let me know when you’re out driving around

that plate is there to prevent the firewall from flexing. it shouldn't be removed in my opinion.

So, I am just looking for weight savings and one less thing in the engine bay...

Remove the hood hinge springs and use a prop rod

Remove the engine and give it to me. That would cut the weight way down. I agree with the above, dont remove the master cylinder plate. Its not that heavy and it serves a specific purpose.

I removed my factory steel piece and fabricated my own out of aluminum to relocate my master cylinder.
