13 psi to an Edelbrock is asking for it.

Old or new lines?

Thats what I'm thinking. I'm making a new line for that carb, and cutting the pressure.

Prob 2-3 yrs. Car has been sitting a long time.

Just looking at the video it looks like the section of hose itself is the source of the leak. My first thought was the fittings but it looks like it's coming from the bend in the braided hose.

i vote for the hose being bad as well. at the beginning of the leak, there appears to be a brief "puff" of fuel at the bend before the leak appears to go up the hose toward the regulator.
at least that's how my old eyeballs see it.

If that hose is neoprene or rubber it is done sealing from sitting and old age down
You should use Teflon line hose on all oil, fuel and brake lines from now on up scope They live forever and don't leak wrench twocents

i think the hose is leaking. i'd try another gauge to verify the existing.

I see a few things:
Hose at carb fitting doesn't look fully seated, appears angled.
Tough combination of angles, I'd prefer a "U" rather than an "S" that tight.
13PSI is a ton; though the hose & fittings should be rated much higher, the carb should be unhappy.
Interesting how it seems to bleed right through the hose, but I wonder if it starts at the hose end/carb fitting...

The fitting on the end isn't installed properly. my guess is thats the problem . Look at the gap between the the fitting hex and the collar nut.

Could be hose but it looks like the fitting is not cranked down enough...if it was an older braided hose then yes the hose..it happened to me..then it stopped..but I replaced it anyways

I've had bad hose also, right out of the box once, but that fitting looks wrong right off the bat.

Just watched it again in half speed looks like it a failed hose. I see the dampness going up the braid, not to mention the short spray out of it at the beginning.

i'm glad you saw that spray MAXX. i was hoping i wasn't seeing things.
i tried to get the video to slow down, but i can't seem to get it to do what i want, so i must be doing something wrong. [ya know, old guys and these new fangled 'lectric thingys..... biggrin]

There is a little icon in the lower corner on you tube vids that looks like a little gear with all the teeth rounded off to slow it down. I think its called settings if you hover on it.

I saw the spray as well, but I'm not sure it's not from the engine's fan, if it has one.
But that could reinforce the thinking that the hose itself is leaking.

thanks MAXX ! that did it ! up
i slowed it down to the slowest setting, and that spray sure seems to be coming from the bend in the hose first, then runs up and down the hose.
