64 Dodge 426 wedge oil pan - 11/08/21 02:09 PM

I am trying to find the correct oil pickup tube/screen part# to fit a 1964 Dodge 426 street wedge with the 4 quart OEM style oil pan. # 2465195.
I can locate the pan but unable to find any info on the correct pick up tube. thanks.

1964 parts manual at this link

https://mymopar.com/parts-manuals/

I see the pan you mention listed. But there doesn't seem to be a pickup specifically called out.

There are three 426's in 64. Std, Maximum Performance, and Hemispherical.

You have the Std version, which is how the pan is called out.

But for the pickups only the Hemispherical is specifically called out.

Then there is one listed as "w/o pipe, w/426 cu. in. engine" this is the strainer only for the Maximum performance swinging pickup, the pipe is called out as another part number.

2206261 seems it may be it but not specifically listed as to what engine it fits. Looked at the 440 Source listings and they gloss right over this issue.

Sorry I can't help more.

The 1965 factory parts book lists the same oil pan part number and the strainer number is 2206458. See attached page from 1965FPB.

Looks like the same pick up for 361/383 also.

I had a original 1963 M.W. Plymouth with the stock pan and the original 1/2 NPT pipe and air sucking swinging pickup down
Many M.W. racers lost bearings do to them air sucking worthless stock pick ups puke
I ended up having mine welded up all the way around the upper and lower part with the pickup set in the middle of the travel.
I found out later that the 1965 C body pan would hold another quart of oil and fit in my car, I added baffles to the front and rear of it and bought a 1966 Street Hemi pick up and never had another oiling issue with that car boogie up
I think the 1968 and 1969 Street Hemi and maybe the 1966 and 1967 Street Hemi oil pans will fit in those cars with the stock K member also scope
