Battery tender recommendations 4 bank or more?

Hello Looking for battery tender recommendations. I see there are a few different brands and almost all of them have mixed reviews. Thanks

I have several Schumachers, and they work great.
Also have a Duralast (Autozone) or 2 that also work fine.
All of them are several years old, and are mostly in continuous use when the cars & trucks are sitting.
(Which they do a lot, there's 8 of 'em )

I don't use any of them with the fear of a fire and all of the horror stories I read about them. I just disconnect my batteries for the winter. Never any issues with starting anything come spring unless battery is several years old. Usually get up to 6-10+ years out of them. My 96 Ram is 25 years old and I am only on my 3rd battery in it.

I use a NOCO Genius G4. Works well. I have pig tails on the motorcycles that I plug directly in and clip ons for the boat batteries.

I pull my battery out of the car for winter storage. With that, has anyone thought of just putting the battery on a trickle charger on a piece of block or something? No car involved to worry about that catching fire, just the isolated battery. Yeah, the fire could go back to the plug area and possibly other things. Just wondering if a trickle charger is safer to use with just the battery in the garage vs on the car in the garage.

Depends on what type of battery you have.

I have had my Cuda since about 1990, all I do is just start the car every couple of weeks in the winter sometimes less, (I take it outside of course) and let it run for half to an hour. The battery stays up, never treat the gasoline and have never had a problem with bad gas.

thirded. Altho I usually try to charge the batteries a couple times over winter and I take them out if the cars are stored in an unheated area.

I've been using self maintaining trickle chargers since the '90s. Never a problem. I moved to a smart charger with my last purchase. I like the PulseTech charger/disulfater.. I put one of their products on and got another 3 years out of it.
