68 Dart headliner question - 09/15/21 03:53 AM
Is there a metal trim piece at the front edge of the headliner on a 68 2 door hardtop? I purchased the car somewhat disassembled and missing pieces. I had a headliner installed and ready to have windshield put in with a new seal. I thought there should be a strip of metal held up with a few screws? Am I crazy? What covers the "teeth" at front edge of headliner?
Thanks, going crazy in Detroit...

I want to say the headliner meets up with the rubber window gasket at the top of the front window. Same rubber gasket also covers the headliner teeth.

Upholstery or headliner glue residue from the factory is my guess.

Not the first time I have seen this question this year. No A-Body ever had anything holding the headliner up on the top of the windshield, do other Mopars have that?
