What do you glean from this cam card?

Yes its old as heck, is it street/strip strip only for its time period?

TIA

What do you want to know? It's .500 lift and 300 duration with 84 degrees of overlap....not likely a grocery getter camshaft

I bet its somewhere around 250 @ .050 so probably 3500-6500 and probably recommends 11 to 1 my twocents

it is a old symmetrical single pattern solid lifter grind for SB Mopars V8 shruggy
As far as it intended use and what your willing to live with are determined by YOU up scope
I wouldn't hesitate to use it for a New York second on a decent street and strip motor up twocents
If I really wanted a hot nasty street cam I would buy and use a newer roller cam twocents

there's really not enough info on that card. the "wild card" to this is at what lobe lift were the timing numbers taken? that's a big deal with any cam but especially a solid. if those numbers are running timing events at .030" lash then that's a big cam for a small block.

Great replies, I really appreciate it.

Im thinking about tossing it in a lil 4 inch stroke short block I just did, I love the old day two stuff and most all my junk has pretty deep gears and I dont think I own a stock vert for anything.

This ride has a old set of dougs 4 inch side pipes I can adjust the packing for the right noise, so rough idle and raw and stinky fuel is great for a day 2 real street car. Like the ones we used to burn a tank a night, night after night.

Back in the 70's I put a JC Whitney 500 lift 300 duration cam in my '69 340 Swinger, with a factory intake, headers, 3500 B&M Super Holeshot convertor & 4.56 gears it ran 12.88. It was a hydraulic cam though. Sounded great.

I recall these guys having a couple maybe like speed shops in the early 70-s and this probably came from there vs there shop.

That can card tells me 10 to 1 compression or more. Could seek by with a 340 10 inch converter and 391 or 410 in a rear end or would be slow but sound good.
