Green yellow or red stuff brakes

I have a 68 Charger disc upgraded mild street strip car was thinking of changing pads out to EBC pads. I'm not a fan of semi metallic and ceramics aren't available. Only other option is organic which has worked well on another vehicle. What color do you suggest?

If this is the company out of Las Vegas then I would highly advise against buying ANYTHING from them! I bought "red stuff" brake pads from them several years ago (once again - if we are talking about the same type of pads) & they disintegrated down to the backing plates in about 4,000 miles - I could not believe it. Worst junk I've ever run for brakes. I contacted them & got nowhere. FYI........

Yes I looked and there is a headquarters in Vegas. 4k miles is not good...

I ran Green Stuff pads on my F150 and they were fantastic compared to the OEM pads. Excellent initial bite, quiet, and long lasting. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again. The Green stuff are probably plenty if you aren't tracking the car. The quality of their rotors was really nice too. I think they were cast in the UK.

EBC is based out of the UK and has a pretty decent reputation for performance brake pads. Not sure of the affiliation of a Las Vegas office, but they would only be a domestic only office if they are part of EBC

I run EBC Yellows on my Bee. They are super aggressive and quite amazing on a road course track. I’m very happy with EBC but would recommend something milder from them. Be certain to follow their instructions on breaking them in. Makes a world of difference.

The yellows and greens can be used with an oem rotor but aren't the greens for light cars?

used them years ago and holy brake dust.. way too much for me..

I ran the Greens on my 2013 F150 and it's about 5500 pounds. Never any inkling of fade when in the mountains or towing. I put 60K miles on that set of pads and rotors and they were still in great shape when I traded it in. I'm usually pretty hard on brakes, but these put up with it very well. I'll be using them on my Cuda if they have a pad for that application.

Ok thanks good to know on the green ones. I wonder if the green ones are less dusty. I do have steel wheels.

I didn't think the green were any dustier than any other stock or aftermarket pad I've run, but I'm not overly sensitive to dirty wheels.

I've ran the yellows on my Dakota for years. The rotors are top notch, and worth every penny IMHO.
During the rainy season, I've noticed how the rotors rust much less than the original beancounter specials on my SRT-4. I believe EBCs are cast in Italy, and finish machined in England. Oh and I always index the rotors, it's tedious and time consuming, but they never squeal and are just great brakes.
Brake dust is minimal.

Curious, how do you index a rotor?

Setup a dial indicator against the rotor, then spin it to see the runout. The max is .003, but it can take a few times to find it.

what i don't like about that video, is a couple of things.
first, all studs should have nuts on them, and should be torqued to the proper specs.
second, there is no mention of cleaning off rust and dirt from the mating surfaces of both the hub and rotor, plus the hub register of the rotor.
and third, make sure the friction face you are indicating of the rotor is as clean as possible, and if it has any ridges or hot spots, get it turned first or replaced.
just my opinion, your mileage will vary.
