cuda Fender Tag - Is it real?

This tag looks funny to me but I'm not an expert. Says the car is an LA car.

I have no reason to question the car but thought that some of the letters/numbers looked to be a little "thin" and "crisp".

There were at least 2 different factories that used that style font for their fender tags. I don't recall which ones. They do look odd though when you're used to the fatter font of the more common tags.

That tag is from the LA plant as denoted by the "E" in the VIN.

The LA plant used both the more commonly recognized font and the thin font seen in the image above..

my november 69 L/A tag is the normal font

My old "71 RR was built at the LA plant and has the thicker font.

screws are backwards... lol
