I installed one in my '69 Super Bee back in 2014.

I used a Hydratech kit on my Wilwood master cylinder w/ 4-wheel disk brakes (Wilwood front and Dr Diff rear) and it has worked flawlessly all this time.

I have the kit from sterlingworth on ebay. If you want to piece together yourself and fab the mounting plate, he also sells the special socket you need.

I made some videos on youtube about the install.

I have a Hydratech system in my Belvedere. Going from manual brakes to power was a huge step but the car stops so much better with no other changes.

No problems with the system and the install went without any issues.

With disc up front drum in the rear I did need to adjust the proportioning valve as the drums wanted to lock up instantly with the extra pressure but it dialed in quick and works great.

Running a 1991 Chevrolet Suburban unit that I picked up at the yard for 30 bucks, had to modify the length of the push rod and made a new baseplate for it to mount it on the firewall. pressed new hoses at a local hydraulic hose shop. Here is an article that covers the whole thing (I know it's Chevy but would be the same process to do this on a Mopar) https://bangshift.com/general-news/...-on-your-classic-gm-muscle-car-or-truck/

There is no reason why you couldn't run a power steering pump with a manual steering box and use the pressure output from the pump to only run the hydro boost. You could probably even use an electric power steering pump to do it if you wanted to avoid the stock engine driven PS pump.

I used one off a 2000 diesel pickup truck on my 92. What I learned is most all the systems are basically the same with differences being with the mounting plate, I made my own, the pushrod length and eyelet size and the master cylinder mounting. You can buy a rebuild kit for them for about $40 so a junkyard unit is just as good as a $200 reman unit if you reseal it. Just use a master cylinder that matches. Depending on the unit will depend on what you have to do to the pushrod. I would stay away from the Dodge truck unit as the pushrod is too long and the master cylinder is clocked differently with an adapter so it ends up being longer. The GM 3500 van units are common in the yards and probably the easiest one to adapt.
