Converting B&M 10230 Flexplate to a 10238 to balance 70-440. - 10/22/20 01:17 PM

Looking for some words of wisdom when it comes to converting/cutting a B&M 10230 Flex plate to create the, now obsolete, 10238 plate. I have attached photos of the two plates. Has anyone done this successfully?

Thanks.

Possibly have a to size template printed and mark the one to be cut. Use a plasma cutter and finish grind as needed.

I've done it on 2 or 3 flexplates. It was always cheaper to buy the neutral balance version vs the other one. I do have 1 of the non neutral ones that I lay on the neutral one to mark it according and cut it. They seem to work fine in the cars I've installed them in.

You've created a 10238 Plate in this manner?
