Dash Vacuum Switch /// What Is This??? - 07/15/20 03:55 AM

Just curious if anyone knows the correct application for the part I have posted photos of here? You can see there is a vacuum switch of some kind as well as an electrical contact on the same switch. Very cool piece - but the box was lost long ago and there's no part number that I can see on this anywhere.

I think headlight washers are vacuum controled? And the electrical section for the water pump/squirters. I guess C body/Imperials ? 71 Chargers with that option go at a different switch down the dash.

Might depend on the model year. Friend of mine has/had a fully loaded '69 Imperial coupe, and the headlight washers are activated when the headlights are on, windshield wipers are on and you press the button to squirt the windshield. There is no separate control for them.

Could this be a switch for a rear de-fogger / defroster?

Databook says needs to press button to work. Sure headlights need to be on, but is not working allways headlights are on.
