Electronic Voltage regulator for 69 mopars - 07/03/20 10:33 AM

I’m trying to find the best new electronic regulator that looks like the old 69 down style and plugs into the 69 harness. Classic industries sells one but I’m sure it’s made overseas anyone have a better source? Or is the one from Classic ok?

I had one crap out on me. I looked around for a higher end replacement but couldn't find one. All the original looking regs. I found were the same $15 piece. I just bought 2, and keep the spare in the glove box. My first one failed in a "max charge" condition.

as far I have read there are mixed experiences from diff sources, so I'd say is about lotely... althought the best you can get is some seller able to get somehow on return guarantee.

I've got that one on my '68, since 1975, never had an issue with it.

I have been selling these for more than 15 years. While made in China, they are not junk. I've been using these in my cars for 15 years with no issues.

I have had really good luck running the all electronic Regitar C524 voltage regulator, which Fury GT referenced above.

Alt needle is rock solid. I have had no problem running them with the new Powermaster 90 amp alternators (though I should note that I have new harnesses throughout). At idle the charging system is giving me a steady 14.6V

fury GT sells them on e-bay, a couple of electronic parts suppliers sell them as well. One other note, I am really careful to make sure the VR is grounded well on the firewall.
