This piece has Been on my car since I’ve owned it but it never looked Right to me.
I’d like to fix this but have to admit I don’t even know what the proper part is supposed to look like, or what it’s called.
It’s the flat piece at the top of the grille.
Any help??

PS

You can probably get a hint that a Previous owner butchered the core support....
repairing that too among many other things.

my motors crash book calls that an "upper cross bar", but doesn't list any part number.
it also consists of a vertical piece the hood latch attaches to called a "vertical brace/hood lock support".
sorry that's all i can help with.

Heard back from someone who has owned one for a long time, it's correct. The holes in the raised rib are used for a road runner as I've been told. They were too cheap to make a special one for the gtx, so you got what you got.

The way it fits drives me bonkers. Guess I'll have to play with it and try to find a way to slide it forward.
