Looking to repaint my Dart and like this colour, ideally would like a modern more available colour that is very close.
That's 1969 Q5 PPG paint code 13534 Bright Turquoise Poly, sometimes referred to as "seafoam" depending on whether your looking at a Plymouth or Dodge paint chart, if mixed properly, the pearl and metallic additives cause the paint to "flop" in different lighting changing from blue to blueish greens as well the metallic/pearl "shimmering" effects , very striking colour... as mentioned find a good paint guy to mix it, problem with most mixers today is the computer generated formulas are condensed by the paint mfg's to offer one colour that's "close" in match, most if not all ALT's have been deleted from mix programs, if your mixer only has one mix formula available, ask to look at the paint keys for the shade range so that you can find the ALT mix formula your looking for.... I'd recommend a BC/CC for a true dynamic finish, but 69 Q5 looks great even when shot in straight enamel (OEM)
FYI, keep in mind regardless of how successful your color match mix, it can/will be altered by value shade/primer base changes, coverage/technique by the painter, personally I'd shoot it in Dupont Chroma Premier CC/BC (now Axalta Chromax), I'd imagine the value shade is probably 4, but a lighter value shade up to 1/white would really set that color on fire
