69 RR light package? - 03/21/20 01:26 PM

looked at a parts car in garage with junk all around it. could only look at it from back of car.they are going to dig it out in a couple weeks. i did see turn signal lights on front fenders. does that mean it might have the light package or did factory put turn signal lights on some cars without complete package.guy didn't know if there is a fender tag on it. did say it has been in garage since 1977. 383 4sp.

They were not available separately.

You can see what was included in the light package on 1968 Belvedere models at https://www.hamtramck-historical.com/images/dealerships/DealershipDataBook/1969/69_Belvedere0030.jpg

My '69 Road Runner is coded for L31 Fender mounted turn signals, but is not coded for A01 Light Package. Mine is a Canadian car so maybe they were available separate in Canada?

And yet, you just said it twice in the same sentence. wink

It is OK to say it when applied properly. beer

Bear in mind that the car's over 50 years old - maybe the fenders were replaced with used ones at some time.
A lot of folks assume a car is exactly as it left the factory, unaware that someone during the decades the car's existed added or changed something.
Back in the day, a lot of these cars were modified, options added or removed, etc.
Back then, very few of us thought 50 years ahead, but did tinker with stuff to personalize it; I did it myself on a few cars.

That's why the track/broadcast sheets are so important and ordering info is so important.
