Power Seats ID ? - 01/24/20 04:57 PM

Power Seats ID ?
been Google searching with next to no results.
anyone know where to look in finding part numbers to ID my seat tracks?

I have a set of power 6 way seat tracks -
purchased from a person who said they are for a 69 - 70 RR.
if this is the case, it seems it was a rare option? ( P25 - 70 RR )
unless what I have are from C body?

If you enter;

Chrysler part number 2926202

for that switch into Google, there are multiple C-body references.

your right Barry - in checking I do find that also.

in a Wikipedia search 'Plymouth Road Runner' - this came up

'In 1971, the coupe bodywork was completely changed to a more rounded "fuselage" design in keeping with then-current Chrysler styling trends, including a steeply raked windshield, hidden cowl, and deeply inset grille and headlights. In a departure from previous thinking, the B-Body two-door bodies shared little if any sheet metal, glass, or trim with the four-door bodies. The convertible was canceled. The interiors could be ordered with 6-way power leather seats, thick deep-pile carpeting, and additional sound-proofing was installed. A/C, and power steering could be had, except on the Hemi. 1971 was a high-water year for ride and handling for the Road Runner.'

not sure how true that is?

The 6-way seat adjusters were manual.

They were available in 1971 B-bodies, but never with power & they were not limited to leather seats.

Were the six way manual seats offered on 71 E bodies but never delivered?

When in the Army I am ordered via military sales, a 71 Challenger with six-way manual seats, a T/A hood and elastomeric bumpers. All three were scratched from the order. I later canceled and ordered from a local dealer.

This would have been for a late summer, 1971 delivery.

The N94 / T/A hood option was cancelled fairly early in the 1971 model year.

You mentioned 6-way manual seats, plural. Only a driver side 6-way was available.

Elastomeric bumpers were only available in select colors.

That would be a safe statement I think. Maybe the Cordobas were the first B-body with power bucket seat.
