U joints - 12/28/19 07:10 PM

Ive changed so many u joints and never had a issue until today. My u joint was tough coming out and what I found was the driveshaft yoke bores with some small nicks. I took a Dremel with a abrasive on a drum holder and lightly cleaned up the bores. I guess I got carried away and now the U joint caps slide right in. With the clips installed, I do not feel any play but im concerned the yoke is ruined and I need a new one. It was a combination U joint, so I was just thinking to get the bigger yoke installed anyway. What are your thoughts? Thanks

. Yes and thanks. I also think the driveshaft is to short. I swaped out my 8 1/4 and installed a 8 3/4. I measured as per the driveshaft web site said and will be paying them a visit Monday....Appreciate the reply
