Ebody R/T hood, 440, and Torker II

Ebody R/T hood, 440, and Torker II - 10/22/19 11:44 PM

Is anybody running a Torker II intake with stock dual snorkel 440 Magnum air cleaner on a 440 Challenger with an R/T hood? I am wondering if I can do this without clearance issues.

I looked for previous posts on this, but did not see anything specific to this combo.

Thanks

hummm it will be close but I ran a dual snorkel on my 1972 road runner with a 440 and Torker II intake and didn't have any issues with it. I think it should work but it will be close.

Don't have this exact combo. However, according to E-Brock's specs, the Torker II carb pad height is: 4.67" front / 5.20" rear and is 1.7" taller than stock. The more popular, Performer RPB intake manifold pad height is 5.35". Perhaps someone using a Performer RPM can chime in. If you currently have the stock configuration, check to see if you have the 1.7" clearance.

Challenger, r/t hood, 440, RPM intake requires drop base aftermarket air cleaner and it is a close fit. So no way with stock air cleaner with the RPM.
