69 RR Hemi brake question - 10/12/19 11:17 AM

Was power brakes standard on all 1969 RR hemi cars? If manual brakes would it be disc or drum in front?

No. My current car is a 3.54 geared track pack 4 wheel manual drum brake. My previous hemi RR was a 4.10 gear super track pack with power front disc brakes.

I have a question. If a 68 hemi RR had power DRUM brakes, would it still have the offset Bendix dual diaphragm unit. I have a customer that need a booster for that application.

Manual drum brakes were standard equipment UNLESS either the disc brakes option was checked on the option sheet OR an axle pkg was ordered.
Such as,
Super Perf ( auto trans ) or Super track pack ( 4 spd cars ) upgrades the rear axle to a Dana and adds power front disc brakes ( manual disc brakes were not avail in a B body )

In regards to a hemi and power drum brakes, I ' think ' the same bendix booster and brackets were used , just with a drum brake master cylinder

Thanks. Now I just need to locate the correct rod to the brake pedal.

I am confused, for the hemi powered drum the bracket assembly has the pushrod for the brake pedal. You implied you needed a booster? If you have the bracket assembly for a hemi you have the pushrod to the pedal (if it is complete).
