Bahama Yellow in 1970

Was Bahama Yellow available on a B-body in 1970? I know it was available in 69 and 71 right? Would Bahama Yellow be a 999 paint code in 1970? The reason I ask is that I saw a 70 Superbee at the Nats in the car corral. It was very rough but had what looked like original paint in the jambs and rear quarters. It still had a very worn bumble bee stripe on it too. The exterior color was Bahama Yellow and it had a burnt orange interior. Didn't see the tag.

My paint charts show it as a 999 only option in 69, and RPO in 1971, not available in 70 RPO or 999, some color mix charts (PPG/DuPont/R&M/etc/etc) will show on 70 paint chip charts as it being listed as "69 spring/special option"... much like F6 is on the 70 paint charts (another 69 spring option) but F6 wasn't technically available in 70, so I would tend to believe that Bahama Yellow was not available in 70, ....but we all know some oddball examples exist out there in paint/stripe combos that supposedly were not offered/available, one would like to think the 999 paint code in 1970 would yield you the choice of any fleet colors available from the prior year?.... There are some oddball paint combos out there that have been documented over the years, but unless you have the vehicles tag/BS or a complete tear down on the vehicle for hidden areas it's only speculation

The paint code is EL5. the first character always indicates the year that the code was first assigned with E being 1969 so I'm thinking it was not an 999 in 69. I've seen a few 69 RRs in EL5. Sure enough, it showed up again in 71 as EL5.

I just keep thinking about that car. It would be a cool color combination with the burnt orange interior.

Bahama yellow was a 999 paint code in 1969. I own a roadrunner that had that for original paint with documentation. Two other colors were code 999 in 1969, rallye green and orange.

That just floors me. 24 colours available on any 1969 Plymouth car. Man, how boring cars have gotten. When I looked at them silly little Subaru BR-Z, I think they said they come in 5 colours. Mustang only 10. Just..... wow.

Cars today are BORING. No wonder interest in them is dying.

Vitamin "C" (K2 on fender tag)

No contact info. I never saw anyone at the car and there wasn't any contact info written anywhere that I saw.
