I wouldn't use a straight spark plug boot on any Mopar B or RB motor in a B,E or A body with stock exhaust manifolds or headers unless I absolutely had to I don't use them on any if my race cars either unless they fit better
I tried the angle plug wires and the spark plug wires end up touching my headers. I am running my wires away from the top of the valve covers so it is easy to pull the valve covers.
The wires fit better on most BB cars with 90 degree boots Most after market heads made today except 440 Source have angle plugs which help on the wire fittings but most headers can use the 90 degree boots better also on most of the plugs IHTHs
We have run Taylo Spiro pros for 440s for years.Mine has 2 inch TTIS my kids 413 had 2 1/8 tubes.Last set on mine were like 15 years old or older just looked tacky.Only wire thats close is 7 and Irun a heat boot on it.We run holders fro Summit that bolt to lower VC bolts and hold wires up and away. When you take the lower bolts out the entire holder comes off with wires attached.Been on close to 20 years.Rocky
I use universal cut to length spark plug wire sets. They can be ordered with straight or angled ends. I also have been wrapping my headers for almost 20 years. Never had a boot melt with wrapped headers
I made my own over 20 years ago. Got some Taylor wire and cut each to length required then add the ends and boots required. A bit time consuming but they fit/look great still. It was gonna be tough to find a pre-made set to it my BB A-body w/headers. Never have had a single wire issue. If I was to buy a set today, I would send this set to Firecore and have him duplicate them with his wire and ends.
