Determine build date '69 Plymouth B Body

How do I determine the build date for my '69 roadrunner? It's a Lynch Rd car if that manners.

I would post your VIN number and ask for other Lynch Road car owners with VIN numbers close to yours to provide there VIN's with the SPD. With this information you should be able to extrapolate an APPROXIMATE build date of your car.[/u][u]

You can look for the K-frame date stamped on the front of it too? There's a belief that the K-frame date is within a few days (to a week) or so of the build/final assembly date. As mentioned other VIN's will also help/

Actual build dates were not recorded back then, so any answer will be a guess.

Yeah A-bomb, hand grenade and horseshoe "close" guesses and none of them can be confirmed with little or no documentation But then there's the missing computer data tapes from the same computers that generated the broadcast sheets.......................................and that is from an inside source, I love a good mystery and it includes NASA too

I haven't checked for broadcast sheet (just got the car). Good news so far is the car is fairly unmolested. The engine and 4-spd are matching numbers and the exhaust manifolds, intake and carb have the correct casting numbers. I do not believe the engine has ever been out of the car/rebuilt and it seems to have the original clutch/pressure plate in it. Maybe the broadcast sheet is there somewhere.

Also, I have the original bill of sale that shows the original owner bought it in July of '69 so I know it was built before that!!

does it have a fender tag? the SCHEDULED PRODUCTION DATE is on the bottom row - this particular Road Runner was more than a week late

1 thru 9 = January thru September & A, B, C = October, November, December

& that still won't show the actual production date - Chrysler tracked "SCHEDULED" & "SHIPPED" dates

The fender tag shows 616. June 16th.

I'll try and get out in the shop tomorrow and look Mike. It's 105 here today and I didn't turn the air conditioner on in the shop

Took a quick look and couldn't find a date stamped anywhere. I'll look when I have it on the lift next time.
