Mr G, screw kit help / Game? - 05/01/19 02:51 AM

Hi, Evetrybody
So, I have the Mr G Interior kit and the labels all fell off the screw bags. I figured out all but 9 or the 27 packets in the kit.
Does anyone have the kit MO1470 that can help? Or anyone that has that special knowledge bank. grin
The remaining numbers are...
2 - Windshield Mould Screws, Rear (Qty 14)
6 - Quarter Panel Screws (Qty 2)
15 - Speaker Cover Screws, Dash (Qty 4?)
17 - Pillar Mould Screws (Qty 4) - I am pretty sure these are the long black ones.
19 - Kick Panel Mould Screws (Qty 2)
21 - Windshield Mould Screws, Upper (Qty 5)
22 - Coat Hook Screws (Qty 2)
23 - Seat Stop Screws (Qty 2)
24 - Dome Light Screws (Qty 2)

Think of it like a game, Join the number to the letter. :-)
Enjoy

Shawn

I am not knowledgeable on your kit, sorry, but the same thing happened to me. The Mr G kit I bought like 10 years ago had white labels that pretty much all fell off the bags. The previous car I did I bought his kit in the early 90s and the bags had inked on numbers, not stickers.
Quite frustrating, I can relate. Good luck with the matching game.

You could go to e-bay and put in the year and type car and see if you can match your screws to the picture provided in the ad, they provide descriptions of screw use.

Get a hold of Mr. G and send them the pictures you posted and have them decipher what is what.

Not sure what car those are for, but some don't look like 68-70 B.
I've bought screw kits from a few folks, and have never used them all because they didn't match what came out of the car.
Depending on the car, Chrysler used a lot of #8 screws with #6 heads.
Screws with a portion of the shank unthreaded are typically used where there's a gap between the panel or part being attached, and the panel it's being attached too; functions as kind of a spacer.

Seems to me that if something takes two screws then the bag with two screws in it would be the ones !! FWIW none of those look long enough to be kick panel screws HOWEVER, you haven't told us what car they're for so who knows !!

Whoops, I forgot to mention that it is for 70-74 Barracuda/Cuda.

I tried the ebay root, and photo search for NOS looks too, but really hard as most use "generic picture".
Plus the one that says Qty 4, well the bags have 5... confused

I will try email to Mr G, did not think about it for some reason.
