steering column help 67 b-body

What is the trick to getting the two square head bolts back in the top of the column?. I'm running out of curse words.

Well, a day later I did indeed run out of curses, and it fell right in. Thanks for lookin.

I had the same problem a few years ago but I didn't respond because for the life of me I can't remember how I actually managed to get it done.............
