Wal Mart brand in my 2006 Ram 3500 4X4 now since last year when the original ones finally gave up scope
I'm almost positive there made by Johnson Controls, who makes around 85 % of the new batteries sold here now in the U.S. work

My '04 pickup batteries lasted 11 years and it was my fault they died. Went to Seattle for 3 weeks with the interior lights of the trailer left on. I went to the dealer and got the same ones. $129 a piece. If you park on a pretty good slope you should alter the position of the truck so one end of the battery doesn't sulfate.

Two Interstates in mine.

Yes Johnson Controls makes many of the batteries sold in the U.S. including many of Interstate's batteries. However those batteries are made to the seller's specifications which can vary.

My truck is a 2008 that sat on the dealer lot for a year. They had to jump it when I test drove it. Those batteries did not last very long and they were replaced at no cost to me. The replacements were Interstates with Mopar stickers on them. Last year I replaced those batteries with Interstates even though they still worked and would start the truck even after it sat for a few weeks.

my 2011 cab and chassis Cummings has AGM batteries from the factory

which turn out to be the same 94R AGM Battery that the Challenger take

Still looking for a AGM that isn't $190 or more

I bought my 07 with 5.9 in 2010. Had to replace both batteries after 6 months. Replaced with Mopar OEM about January 2011. Replaced that set last year, October 2018, with another set of Mopar OEM. I think its hit and miss with batteries.

Sears DieHard Platinums use to be made by Odyssey. They lasted a full 7 years on my 2004.5 dually. Based on their reputation and previous experience,I replaced them with 2 by Odyssey and will see how this particular version holds up. There are different versions of AGM. Odyssey, Optima and Northstar. Then the rest.

They are higher than your limit, but I've found that sometimes it's cheaper in the long run. I got mine at 20% off from Autozone ship to home. But their current discount code excludes batteries. (Maybe I revealed the loophole last year. shruggy )

Odyssey 65 series

I bought the Max batteries at Walmart for my 2001 Cummins since I had a gift card to use. I got 8 years out of them, bought another set 2 years ago and they are going strong

Last summer I replaced the original battery's in my 2003 diesel truck. Since I got 15 years out of the originals I went to the dealer and replaced them with Mopar battery's.

I just did this on the 2010 Cummins two days ago. I have access to NAPA, Interstate, Tractor Supply, and some off the wall house brand that a local parts store handles. Any other option is $40 worth of fuel away. I couldn't find the size for the diesel at TSC, I wasn't going with the off-the-wall version as it was $190 out the door, and the Interstate would have been nearly $240 out the door. So I have two new NAPA AGM batteries for the princely sum of $445 out the door for two.

No. I am in the rewards program but that's only $5 per $100 on the next purchase. Was there some other discount that was available? As I mentioned, this was only two days ago.

Re: Batteries for 2011 Cummins Ram. - 02/17/19 11:13 PM

there was a valentine's day deal that gave 10% off and included batteries.

Here's a link to a cached copy if the details. I hope it works.

Looks like it may have been a buy online pick up in store at participating stores deal though.

Boy, you may have saved me a bunch of money! That's what I did, ordered on-line with that worthless Napa website and then picked it up in the store. Thanks! My store and I will have a conversation tomorrow.

Since you never drive it that is not unexpected.

My 99 had Excide Batteries and they made it 11 years

I have had bad luck with Bosch batteries

Original batteries still in my 02 Cummins . . . don't drive it over the winter, so it sits with the battery tender on the batteries to keep them charged. Also, I check the electrolyte level and top up with distilled water when needed . . . they still check out ok using external battery load checker!!

I have been using the premium Walmart Ever-start batteries in all of my cars including my 05 Ram for years without fail. They are sealed very well around the terminals, so no corrosion. I use a lot of Napa batteries at work, and for a while they were terrible for post corrosion. They seem better now however.
