First pilot cars were February - no exact production day.

The yellow T/A used in the color ad is also earlier than later models.

The red T/A used in other color ads has not surfaced yet.......

Then there was also at least one pre-production car or two....

Would 3.24.70 be early ?
On the bottom of my built sheet is a 18 TRANS A M
Could that mean it was the 18 th built that day or the 18 th one built ?
How many FM3 T A where built ?

324 on the broadcast sheet / fender tag is the Scheduled Production Date & well within 'normal' for a T/A.

That is the date they hoped to build the car when the order was first entered into the system.

Actual build days were not recorded & can be earlier or later by days or weeks.

If your original Mylar door sticker is still present, it will show the actual build month though. Some later March SPD Cars have April door stickers because they were built later than hoped for.

No one knows how many FM3 T/As were actually made, but I have over 90 recorded so far.

All AAR & T/A broadcast sheets I have seen so far have the 18 TRANS AM at the bottom.

This helped note it was part of the Trans Am program.
