Fiberglass repair - 06/07/08 06:43 PM

I need to repair my fiberglass hood. The damaged areas are highlighted. Can I just reapply resin or should I put new matting and resin down? The fibers are loose due to theresin melting in these areas. The damage is only 1 layer deep.

You can repair that with JUST resin. It will be a 'cleaner' repair that will less noticable. If the area needs more strength you could add matting, but that will be a more noticable repair.
